Success can often be tied to the ability to see your business through your customers’ eyes. Here a few essential qualities that can turn your company into the one that will keep your customers coming back for more.
- Accessibility: Have phone systems that are easy to use. Return emails and phone calls on the same day they were received. Have a website that is easy to navigate.
- Availability: Be there when your customers need you. Have business hours that work with you customer’s schedule. If you take reservations or make appointments, allow customers to schedule them for the same day they call you. If you close for a day, have other ways for customers to obtain information they need.
- Affability: Make a point to warmly greet your customers both in person and on the phone. All employees and staff in a company should do this.
- Agreeability: If you can not say yes to a customer, say “let me see what I can do.” Then do something.
- Accountability: Personally take care of your customers’ needs. If there is a problem, see it through until it is resolved.
- Adaptability: Desires are constantly changing. Keep up with the change. Ask for customer opinions on what they like and dislike about your business and what their experience working with you was like. Adjust to the needed changes. Try to always exceed your customer’s expectations.
- Ability: Continuously improve. Be an expert on your products and services. Learn about your competition.
