Buddy Up Promotions And Share Expenses.

Buddy up with complementary businesses and share the expense on your next marketing venture. This can considerably cut down the cost of the promotion, and allow each of you to use promotion techniques that would be too expensive to implement alone. Some examples might be:

If you send out a brochure, include an insert about a complimentary business. For instance, a wedding planner may include a card showing selections from a local florist. By adding a visually appealing product to the mix you'll be creating more interest, which benefits both advertisers by increasing the response rate.

Split a booth at a trade show. You'll be able to offer twice the impact with displays and give-aways plus each of you will have the opportunity to actually leave the booth and network with the other vendors. A good example of this would be an acupuncturist and a massage therapist teaming up for a local health fair.

Run a contest together. Two local car dealers have a showdown each year to see who can move the most cars on a given weekend. They advertise like crazy and split the costs- a win/win situation for both of these friendly competitors.

Donate a bill stuffer. Which businesses are your targeted prospects most likely receiving a statement from each month? Find out how you can get your promotional item added to these mailings. You'll be providing their customers with a gift at no charge while saving distribution costs.

Does your company have a story about a successful joint promotion that you can share? I'm sure other readers would love to see it posted here. Do you have a great marketing idea and need to find the right business to partner with? Get the word out by posting it here at Amplifacts!
